The Muttersberg cable car is a cable car in Bludenz, which leads to the Muttersberg. It connects a valley station at about 679 m above sea level in Bludenz-Hinterplärsch (Galgentobel) with the mountain station at 1397 meters near the 1401 m high Madeisakopf, which is colloquially called Muttersberg, and is located in the municipal area of Nüziders. The cable car is 1461 m long and has 24 cabins. The cabins can accommodate 6-8 people each. The ride takes 15 minutes.
The cable car operates daily from about the end of April to the beginning of November, otherwise Friday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In the period around Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the operation rests due to revision work. During the operating hours of the cable car, the valley station is served by the city bus line 1.
